As my 50th year gets into full swing, I find myself wondering this very thing.

Brand New Day

Sunday, Sunday…didn’t Sunday used to be a day of relaxation?

Since the moment I woke up, I have been on the go.  First, turning on the computer, even before I made coffee.  Opened a series of windows; first Twitter, then FaceBook, then Tumblr, read my email, then I made coffee.  Read some news on Google and HuffPo and then got ready for Meet The Press.  I finally ate breakfast and took a shower.

Now I am back at my desk, have the same series of windows open and am now working on another business plan.  All while blogging, tweeting, face-booking, emailing, and somewhere in there there is laundry, beds to make, bathrooms to clean, dishes to wash, etc.

Today is Sunday, right?

Didn’t I do this already?

Definition of Reinvent:  To remake or redo completely

It seems I am always in the process of having to reinvent myself.  The world in which we reside is not the same place most of us used to enjoy living in.  These days I am coming up with ideas on how to be self employed, because although I am 50 & fabulous, it’s tough out there.

It’s not like I do not have the experience, the drive or the will.  I have all of those things, but my competition was not raised on a manual Underwood or an electric Smith Corona typewriter.  They are quicker, smarter, younger, do not need a nap and are not having hot flashes!  They can text faster than the speed of light - with one hand, and use an iPad with the other.  All while never spilling anything on the front of their blouse!

So I have a few things up my sleeve and I’m ready to jump in…again.  I just hope I land on my feet and don’t break my shoe’s heel or twist an ankle.
